About the Library
In higher education the library has its own importance. It helps in widening the range of knowledge and information of teachers and students. The Library of Saraswati kala Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 2001-2001. Since then library has made consistent progress in terms of collection of books, periodicals, CDs, E-resources, services and Infrastructure provided..
Our college library has tried it’s best to provide necessary material to all the components of the college and looked after the qualitative and quantitative growth in library facilities. The Library is considered as an integral part in the academic activities of the College. It has a collection of more than 4669 books, 09 journals, periodicals in subjects including Social Sciences, Religion, Marathi Literature, Library Science, Competitive Exams. Non-Book Resources: CD’s/DVDs etc. The Library provides services to all the users of this college. The Library is automated with E-Granthalaya software.

Circulation
- Students : 1 Books 7 days in a week.
- Faculty members : 05 Books Per Semester.
- Non-teaching staff : 1 Books for 15 Days.
- Other readers : 1 Books for 7 days.
Collection and Resources
The library possess 4669 books, 9 journals and 5 newspapers. The library collection consists of Textbooks reference books, Competitive books ,back volumes of periodicals, E- journals, CDs, which are in open access.
Books Classification System
Books are arranged according to Deway Decimal Classification System (DDC) this classification scheme for easy access the user.
Reference Book Collections
Reference books include encyclopedias, dictionaries & costly books which can be referred only in the reading room.
Current Periodicals
The library subscribes 05 periodicals arranged subject wise in the reading hall. No current periodical or newspaper can be taken outside the library.
Back Volumes of Periodicals
The back volumes of periodicals are kept at the periodical section which can issued outside the library.
Membership
Saraswati kala Mahavidyalaya Library offers membership to Professors, and Students enrolled in the current Academic year. Ex Students / Others can avail the reference facility by permission from Principal / Librarian.
Timings
The library remains open from 10.30 a.m to 5.00 p.m.on all working days except Sunday and Public Holidays.

- To develop awareness in the Students regarding Library Use.
- Upgrading of present infrastructure facilities for proving more number of computerized information services to readers.
- Training staff for improving their skills of Computer Operation
- Books exhibitions on various auspicious days.
